Fayose, a threat to National Unity- APC

Ekiti state chapter of APC has accused the state governor, Ayo Fayose, of being a threat to National unity. In a statement released by the APC Ekiti state publicity secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, the party said Fayose's actions and utterances in recent times can throw the nation into chaos. The party alleged that Fayose was inciting residents of the state to attack DSS officials;

“We have heard of reports of Governor Fayose inciting the people to stone the operatives of the DSS anywhere they are seen. This is besides saying many unprintable things about the President, such as saying that he would soon die and declaring the Director General of DSS, Lawal Musa Daura, person non grata in Ekiti State. It is regrettable that Fayose cannot separate his personal views as a man constantly at war with the Nigerian law from the views of lawful Ekiti people, who are ready to submit themselves to the Nigerian law where the rule of law and good governance flourish,” he said.
The party accused Fayose of running a government built on his personal image
“This failure to see governance beyond personal appeal of the governor is costing our state good governance for the development of our people and her deserved place of honour in this country. That is why the governor is wasting state resources on helicopter charter to ferry an accused person, Akanni Afolabi, from Abuja to Ekiti after which he took six pages of several newspapers on frivolous adverts to publish court records on the accused’s bail application and topped it with the donation of a new car to same Akanni, who is still under investigation over several criminal cases. Governor Fayose is overwhelmed with promoting cloudy characters with several alleged crimes hanging on their necks far above Ekiti academic pride of the century, Ayodele Dada, who bagged the best graduating student award at the University of Lagos with a record 5.0 GPA. We are not surprised at the governor’s beatification of crime in this instance because you can only give what you have and gold is usually sold to the person who knows its value. That is why Fayose would prefer to celebrate thugs and roughnecks to celebrating the Ekiti golden boy that has put Ekiti State on the map of academic honour at the University of Lagos.”

Raging inferno tears through residential blocks in UAE

In what is becoming a disturbing consistency, two residential tower blocks have been hit by large fires, the third such incident in about a year. The fire began in the Ajman One complex, a $735million development of 12 towers with some 3,000 apartments before spreading to a nearby building.

Residents were evacuated, but several have reportedly been treated for breathing problems and minor injuries.

On new year's eve, the 63-storey Address hotel in Dubai was engulfed by a large fire which blazed for twenty hours.

Church Bishop fined for noisy 3am services says it will continue

Bishop Climate Irungu, 41, whose church, The Kingdom Church in Camberwell, south London, faced a fine of £7,740.50 earlier this month after residents nearby complained about sleepless nights, has refused to back down because according to him, that is the time when "demons are active". He has however taken measures to appease residents by soundproofing the building.

The nighttime is "the time when we’re dealing with spiritual things, when the spiritual world is busy". That's the time when demons are more active, when people are asleep, that's when they will come," Irungu said.

The Bishop who heads 400 churches worldwide says people come from far and near to seek solutions to their problems. He said that hate mail from atheists and "people like witches and Satanists" will be dealt with by God .

“I’m hoping that people who have been mocking us, people speaking bad things – God is going to deal with them. Our 3am service has helped hundreds of people whom have all shared their testimony about what God has done for them.”
