Zimbabwean minister blast Sahara Reporters for heckling Mugabe.. See his tweets
Prof. Jonathan Moyo, Zimbabwe's Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services, is mad at Sahara Reporters for what their reporters did to Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe in Abuja last weekend when he came for Buhari's inauguration. SR reporters asked Mugabe when he was going to step down and give his country democracy. (watch the hilarious episode here). Moyo didn't find it funny and took to his twitter account to blast Sahara Reporters. See his tweets after the cut...
I still have to call him Bruce' - Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner's mom says
She said: It's going to be a struggle for me to get used to the change, but happily so…'I'm very happy for him – or her!'
She said: 'I was there last week, well actually, I got home a week and a half ago. And I met Caitlyn. She is… so much more at ease,' she said. 'She's beautiful!'
Caitlyn: Jenner's children support transition, but 4 refuse to appear on docuseries
Of course the Kardashian girls and Kylie and Kendall will be on the show but the children with his previous wife have remained adamant about not wanting to be on the show.
Jenner’s son Brandon Jenner, told Vanity Fair he was proud, but not amused when his Dad revealed his breast implant surgery.
According to Vanity Fair, “Brandon said he was a little taken aback when he saw Caitlyn for the first time after surgery and she pulled her top up to reveal her new breasts," adding Brandon exclaimed: "‘Whoa, I’m still your son.'"
Brandon’s sister Cassandra, who had a rough relationship with their Dad when she was growing up said: “I would happily have traded a distant father for a loving, involved mom.”
Jenner's oldest son Burt Jenner said: "I have high hopes that Caitlyn is a better person than Bruce."
Brandon said that the Jenner children's decision to refrain from participating in the show has to do with their concerns about the production company, Bunim/Murray, and that many of the people working on Jenner's docuseries work on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
“You go on E!’s Web site, the Bunim/Murray Web site, and you look at all the shows, every one of them is a circus," Brandon said.
Caitlyn however, said the show aims to help people and claims that it's simply another "stupid reality show" couldn't be more wrong.
“I’m not doing it for money. I’m doing it to help my soul and help other people. If I can make a dollar, I certainly am not stupid. I have house payments and all that kind of stuff. I will never make an excuse for something like that. Yeah, this is a business."Regardless of their disagreement over the series, Cassandra said she feels Jenner's transition had improved their relationship.
“I feel like he’s been the closest to us and the best parent when he’s been moving toward his true identity,” she said.
“I was just nervous that I wouldn’t make her feel comfortable,”. “I was worried I wouldn’t say the right things or act the right way or seem relaxed."She said they got along better than ever before.
“We talked more than we ever have. We could just be girls together.”
Cassandra was present for the Vanity Fair photoshoot.
We lack power for now to display Buhari, Osinbajo’s assets - CCB
Those who asking the new president and his deputy to publicly declare their asset will have to wait a bit longer as the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, which keeps custody of the assets declared by the two leaders, says it lacks the power to make them public for now.
Chairman of the CCB, Mr. Sam Sada, who spoke exclusively to Vanguard through his Special Assistant, Mr. Gwimi Sebastian Peter, said only the National Assembly is vested with the powers to decide the terms and conditions under which such documents could be made public.
The chairman said even though the Constitution of Nigerian made it clear that the agency should make available to the citizens the assets declared by public officials, the same law vested the National Assembly with the power to decide the terms and conditions for making such materials public.
Sada explained that the CCB was ready to comply with the terms and conditions specified by the National Assembly on the matter but would only do so once the law was amended. He said:

Amaechi replies Wike over allegations of vandalising Rivers Govt house
Yesterday, Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, took some Rivers state leaders and some journalists round the Rivers state government house alleging that the immediate past governor of the state, Rotimi Amaechi vandalized the government house. Amaechi has now released a statement denying he vandalized the Govt house. See the statement signed by his spokesperson, David Iyofor after the cut...
"I am aware that this (Monday) morning, Wike in company of his coterie of court jesters took some video cameramen and photographers on a tour of the Governor’s residence inside Government House. He took them to the Governor’s bedroom where he made further claims that the place has been looted. The question to ask is, did Wike know what was in my former bedroom before now, to conclude that the bedroom was looted? Did he speak with or review with the Permanent Secretary of Government House, who is the chief accounting officer before jumping into such hasty and misguided conclusion?” Apparently, he had already reached a conclusion before arriving Government House, and all he has been saying and doing is to work towards that conclusion of looting and vandalisation. It’s instructive to note that on Friday, May 29, Wike had barred some key officials of Government House, including civil servants from accessing the place. 48 hours later, he started shouting ‘vandalisation and looting’. This doesn’t smell right. I left the place intact. If there’s any vandalisation or looting in Government House after I left, Rivers people should ask Wike what happened. This is clearly a grand conspiracy to siphon state funds in the guise of renovating a vandalized and looted Government House and falsely smear my image.
On the latter, Wike is sparing no expense, employing all sorts of insidious tactics to accuse me and rub me with the tar of corruption. I am aware that a plot is on by Wike to harass, intimidate, threaten, blackmail and do whatever it takes to get officials, including civil servants, who served in my administration to make false and phony claims of corruption against me, personally, and my dear wife, Judith; in spite of the fact that my wife was never an official of Government or public officeholder. These false, bogus and illusive claims can never be substantiated but Wike doesn’t care. All he wants is to taint my good name with screaming headlines of corruption and corrupt practices in the media. But, he will certainly fail.” Amaechi urged the media to beware of this plot, scrutinize thoroughly and disregard any of Wike’s wild and false claims of corrupt practices against him and his wife. He further advised the media to be weary and discard the stage-managed video by Wike purportedly showing the looting and vandalisation of Government House, Port Harcourt. The video is a fraud. Stage-managed to deceive and hoodwink the public”, the statement concluded.
